Leveraging supercomputing for efficient parameter estimation in hydrologic modeling
Short Bio
Sahib is a recipient of the Dean’s Research Award for Fall 2024. His research focuses on improving parameter estimation in hydrologic modeling using supercomputing power. By estimating model parameters for approximately 1,000 catchments across North America, Sahib aims to uncover spatial patterns that provide deeper insights into hydrologic processes. His work involves high performance computing, geospatial analysis, and programming, contributing to more accurate and efficient hydrologic models. In his free time he likes engaging in stargazing, TV shows and travelling.
