Computational Hydrology Group

Our research advances hydrologic modeling and forecasting, with a focus on floods, droughts, and other hydrologic extremes.

We investigate dominant hydrologic processes across regions, hydrometeorological drivers of extreme events, watershed representation and parameter estimation in hydrologic models, observational uncertainty, data assimilation in hydrologic forecasting, and the prediction of floods, droughts, and other water extremes.

Our work integrates in situ observations, remote sensing, process-based hydrologic models, and machine learning, supported by large-domain simulations on high-performance computing systems. We are committed to open, reproducible, and collaborative science that advances hydrologic prediction and supports water resources engineering and environmental decision-making.
